Feltrinelli is celebrating its 60th anniversary with Santa Margherita’s Prosecco 52

An exceptional event for Italian culture will be taking place at the forthcoming International Book Festival in Turin. The 60th anniversary of the foundation of the Feltrinelli publishing house was celebrated on Thursday, 14th May.

Feltinelli is a real icon for millions of book lovers all over the world as well as one of the most successful breeding grounds for talented international writers. Santa Margherita’s Prosecco 52 wine was chosen to seal the long- lived collaboration and friendship between the publishing house and Santa Margherita who have worked together to organise one of the most successful contests for new talented fiction writers.

More than 14 thousand debuting writers, assisted by some prestigious authors including Gad lerner, Eva Cantarella, Benedetta Cibrario, Simonetta Agnello Hornby, Michele Serra, Enrico Ruggeri and many more, talked about their experiences and their personal relationship with wine and food during the eight editions of the Santa Margherita Wine- Literature Contest organised together with the Feltrinelli publishing house based in Milan, currently a far-reaching major player in the culture and marketing industry, ranging from publishing books to distributing them through large-scale retail channels, to advertising on the TV and Internet.

Established in 1955 by Giangiacomo Feltrinelli, Feltrinelli quickly became a top-ranking international publishing house thanks to the discovery of Boris Pasternak and his Doctor Zhivago and of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa and his novel The Leopard.
