“Pathways”: Santa Margherita tells its story on Saturday 22nd October

A story that is as absorbing as a novel; a range of products that is well-known and appreciated all over the world; savoir-faire that led to the creation of our Pinot Grigio, the forefather of an entire generation of innovative Italian white wines: this, and a great deal more besides, is “Percorsi” (“Pathways”), the unusual and surprising visit that Santa Margherita has organized for its guests on Saturday 22nd October at its historic headquarters in Fossalta di Portogruaro (in the Province of Venice), from 9 a.m. onwards.

Throughout the day, groups of visitors will be able to find out in detail – during a tour lasting 90 minutes – about the history of Santa Margherita. The visit will be divided up in six distinct “chapters”: the “Red House”, the building where everything started and which still – as it did then – bears on its façade the motto “Sua texit labor fata” (“Work weaves destinies”), which inspires the company’s philosophy; the entrance to the winery and the vinification zone; “sparkling wine making”, with a description of the worldwide success of Prosecco; the storage area; the fascinating barrel cellar and the secrets of maturation in wood; and, lastly, the Vino & Dintorni wine shop, where one can find all of the Group’s wines.

The tour includes 3 stops for refreshment, with finger food and a tasting of 3 iconic wines: the Prosecco Superiore di Valdobbiadene D.O.C.G. Brut, the Pinot Grigio Valdadige D.O.C. and the Malbech “Impronta del Fondatore”.

The event is free only for employees of the Zignago Group, who must book their visit (according to availability) at the “Vino & Dintorni” shop at no. 8 Via Ita Marzotto in Fossalta di Portogruaro.

For other participants there will be a charge of 10 Euros; advance sales and mandatory booking of visits is being handled by Faberest. To book or receive further information >>> https://bit.ly/percorsi2016
