Wine in Sanremo

A weekend on the Riviera of Flowers for the Santa Margherita Wine Group, which will take part in “Wine in Sanremo”, the festival devoted to Italy’s outstanding viti-vinicultural products due to take place from 15th to 17th October and aimed at both wine lovers and restaurant trade professionals alike.

“Wine in Sanremo” is now in its second edition; the venue will be the Palafiori, located in the heart of the Ligurian town just a stone’s throw from the Teatro Ariston, site for almost seventy years of Italy’s most famous song contest. The program will include, apart from the chance to taste the products of about a hundred Italian wineries, cooking demonstrations and educational sessions organized by the country’s most prestigious sommeliers’ associations.

This event will also draw a large number of wine enthusiasts from the nearby Côte d’Azur and Principality of Monaco, who like to come to the little town that was dear to Russian Empress Maria Alexandrovna (wife of Czar Alexander II), in order to keep up to date on the very best from Italy.
