Toasts were raised with Santa Margherita wines at the Marie Claire Maison’s Garden Party

Excellent wine and Italian style came together once again. Santa Margherita celebrated the special “Chic Living” insert of the prestigious lifestyle magazine “Marie Claire Maison” with some of its most renowned and prized wines: Pinot Grigio Metodo Classico Alto Adige Doc 2011; Pinot Grigio Alto Adige Doc 2014 Impronta del Fondatore and Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG.

The event was held at the end of July during an exclusive cocktail party on the banks of Lake Como where the various topics covered by the magazine – Furniture, Decor, Art and Luxury – were celebrated with the participation of stylists, architects and personalities from the media and publishing world.

The location chosen was Villa Sucota, a fascinating, recently restored, 18th century building surrounded by a marvellous garden overlooking the lake. The backdrop to this event was the “Giardini di Seta” exhibition (11 July – 11th October 2015 held in two locations: Villa Sucota in Como and Villa Bernasconi in Cernobbio) organised by the Antonio Ratti Foundation and the Municipality of Cernobbio, with Maria Claire Maison as media partner. The show exhibits haute-couture garments (by Biki, Capucci, Ferré, Valentino, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent), scarves and precious fabrics to illustrate the various aspects of floral decoration.
